Local and Community Missions |
“This is my commandment, that you love one another as I have loved you.” John 15:12
The purpose of the Acts 2 missions ministry is to reach out to those around us in need and to show them the love of Christ. Jesus tells us in John 15:12, to love one another as He has loved us. What better way to demonstrate that love than to give of our time and support to a brother or sister in need?
Missions are vital to our church and mission trips are a pivotal ingredient of that work. Acts 2 offers a missions ministry as a way of providing opportunities to not only give of our time but to make a connection with those we're serving. Acts 2 has a long history of not only helping its local community, but also sending itself out into the world to work, gain spiritual growth, and to fellowship, all in Christ's name.
The Acts 2 missions ministry organizes several different projects throughout the year. These projects can range from local cleanup and painting jobs to out of state construction ventures.
