Our Beliefs:
Our beliefs are a continuation of the historic Christian faith as expressed in the ancient profession of faith known as the Apostles' Creed. "I believe in God the Father Almighty, maker of heaven and earth and in Jesus Christ His only Son our Lord. Who was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, crucified dead and buried. The third day his rose from the dead, ascended into heaven and sitteth at the right hand of God the Father Almighty. From thence He shall come to judge the quick and the dead. I believe in the Holy Spirit, the holy catholic church, the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and the life everlasting."
Our Vision:
The vision of Acts 2 is to be a biblically functioning community using Acts 2:42 as a guide to all that we do. Acts 2:42 says, “They devoted themselves to the apostle’s teaching, fellowship, the breaking of bread, and the prayers.” We believe this happens by the guidance and power of the Holy Spirit of God. The vision includes expanding the Kingdom of God to places that do not have churches.
We began as a dream placed by God in the hearts of a few people. Today, hundreds worship weekly, tens of thousands of dollars are given each year to help others, and more and more people are being baptized in the name of Jesus Christ, professing their faith openly about their trust of Him, and asking the Holy Spirit, “what would you like to do through me today?”
The vision of Acts 2 includes recruiting, equipping, and sending and supporting men and women in full-time service of Jesus Christ. It has happened over and over again with people from Acts 2 serving throughout the United States. We have a vision to give birth to daughter churches that will one day be healthy enough to have children of their own. It is our deep desire to plant healthy churches that plant healthy churches in ways that reach people who are not currently attending another church.
