Acts 2 is a community of believers who have decided together to live their lives fully devoted to God. We are passionately concerned about those outside the family of God. Acts 2 is a place where God is in charge, everyone plays a critical role and everyone is important!

Creative Children's Ministry
Our professional staff helps your child embark on a fun, creative Christian education adventure from birth through fifth grade. The children at Acts 2 learn about God, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit through the Bible.  Our new facilities provide a safe, clean environment where our loving teachers share the Good News of God.

 

Ancient-Future Worship
Come experience ancient prayers that quiet your heart, God's Word that transforms your mind, and music that will energize your soul. We strive and plan intentionally for an EPIC worship experience. EPIC is an anacronym we use to mean that each worship experience is to be "Experiential," "Participatory," "Image Rich," and "In Community."  This means that we expect to experience the presence of God each time we gather.  All are invited and expected to participate as they are comfortable in singing, praying, greeting others, giving, active listening, and sharing in the sacraments of Holy Communion and Baptism.  We use images throughout worship to bring us closer to God and one another.  These images may be photos, pieces of art, or video or movie clips.  Finally, worship it to be authentic and indigenous to the community.  We are not trying to replicate or reproduce worship from another church.  We believe that the Spirit of God continues to create new communities of faith with creativity, authenticity, and power.  Some of the music we sing is hundreds of years old while other music in the same service may have been written a few weeks ago.  Whether new or old, up-tempo or more reflective, the music will be excellent which we believe honors God and inspires people.  We have talented musicians on numerous instruments including guitar, banjo, mandoline, drums, bass, piano, electric keyboard and numerous vocalists.

 

Opportunities to Grow Spiritually and Relationally
At Acts 2 we desire all people to grow closer to God and to others. One way we do that is by getting involved in a Bible study, small group of eight to twelve people, and/or a service team. 

We are striving with all of our hearts to be a biblically functioning community…a place where love prevails, people and relationships are healed, and most importantly where God is present with us. We meet at 4848 W. Covell at the intersection of Pennsylvania and Covell. Come grow with us at Worship on Sundays at 9:15am & 10:45am or on Fridays at 6:30pm. Children’s programs available for all three services.  Small Group events are held throughout the week .
